Have you shopped around? From what I can tell, most companies start out paying you, then say they can't pay anymore but will pick it up for free, then slowly start charging. At least from my experience.

Yes. You definitely have to shop around. They used to pay, then it was free, then now they wanted to charge.
Yes, as was stated above, believe it or not - it depends on the price of crude oil. When crude prices are down, your waste oil is not a valuable asset and you have to supplement the cost of processing it. And when crude oil prices are up, you get paid! Usually has nothing to do with "how long you have been with the recycler". I recommend shopping it - I'm happy with our vendor that we have used for 15 - 20 years but I still make phone calls every couple of years...
Nobody around you has a waste oil burner? I'm sure they'll take all you can produce.
